On Wednesday, in Lahore, Pakistan won the fifth T20I against England by six runs and led the series by 3-2.
England was chasing only 145 on a skiddy, tricky pitch, and because of that, none of England’s batsmen was able to get comfortable in the conditions.
Moeen, though, had managed to drag the game out, but in the last over, where 15 runs were needed off six balls, he failed to chase the run, and England lost their fifth T20I against Pakistan.
Debutant Aamir Jamal did the last over very well and led Pakistan to win their fifth T20I against England, in which the England batsmen were able to score only eight runs.
It was a very poor batting from England, as in the powerplay, England lost their three crucial wickets of Phil Salt, Alex Hales, and Ben Duckett. Later, Pakistan’s spinners throttled England’s middle order.
Moen Ali and David Malan revive the innings but they could not able to chase the score.
Moen Ali said, I just felt like we needed one partnership, 60 or 70 runs would have won us the match, but we could not get it.
England won the toss and elected to bowl first, which they successfully did by taking all of the Pakistan team’s wickets in just 145 runs. Muhammad Rizwan made 63 runs off 43 balls, which were the most important runs for the Pakistan team to reach a score of 145.
Mark Wood bowled very well, as he took three important wickets of Babar Azam, Haider Ali, and Asif Ali. Wood finished his four overs on 20 runs and three wickets.
Pakistan will play their sixth match on Friday of seven T20I matches series against England. Pakistan now needs only one win to claim the series win.
