Last Week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady reportedly broke two tablets because of frustration on the sidelines during a victory against the New Orleans Saints.
Tom had already apologized for breaking one tablet, but during the 20-10 victory, in which he struggled to find a passing rhythm, he had broken a second tablet.
According to Fox Sports reporter Jay Glazer, NFL has sent memos to all 32 teams of the league saying breaking tablets will incur a fine, which NFL issued after this game.
Earlier this week, during a radio appearance with Jim Gray, Tom joked that I’ve had a pretty bad record against that tablet, unfortunately, and I think I forgot the password and I could not log in, so those things can be frustrating.
Tom said, Unfortunately, the tablet just happens to get in the way, and that’s the reason things weren’t going great against the Saints. So, I had to take it out on the poor meaningless tablet, he said.
Tom told to Gray that I’m trying to make sure I don’t throw my arm out when I throw it, but I was pretty pissed against the Saints. Moreover, he said until I get it right, I’m going to keep doing it, and, with repetition being the key to success, I got to get the perfect tablet slam, which I haven’t gotten yet. Tune in next week to see if it happens, he said.
Last season during the Week 15 loss to New Orleans, Tom threw a tablet. Tom led the league in touchdowns and passing yards in 2021, which has not been at his best. Tom’s QBR ranking of 38.9 puts him 24th out of 32 qualified candidates.
